Crescent Trail Guided Hikes

Adults, teens and children under 16 supervised by an adult are welcome to participate.
All hikes start at 1:30 PM on the second Sunday of the month, year round. Call 585-234-1621 for more information.
The Crescent Trail has 38 miles and is open to the public during daylight hours for self-guided hikes. Maps may be purchased for $1.00 at the Perinton Community Center or Town Hall. Crescent Trail meetings are on the 1st Thursday of each month at 7:15 PM at the Community Center. Meetings are open to the public.
December 13 - Holiday Hike in the historic Bushnell’s Basin area. Hike, XC ski or snowshoe (weather permitting) north on Pittsford’s Cartersville Trail, south on a section of the Auburn Railroad Trail, the Erie Canalway Trail to Marsh Road, then the Crescent Trail to return to the Jefferson Road starting point. Meet in the Crescent Trail parking area off Jefferson Road (near its intersection with Thornell Road) on west side of Bushnell’s Basin.
January 10 - Start the new year off by hiking, XC skiing or snowshoeing on the RS&E Trail from the Community Center to Pannell Road. This is a one way hike. Meet at the Community Center lower parking lot near the playground and shelter.
February 14 - Hike, snowshoe or XC ski for a Valentine’s Day one way hike on the Erie Canalway Trail to the Great Embankment Park (Pittsford). Meet at Perinton Park, upper level parking lot.
March 13 - Hike on the Auburn Trail, Lehigh Black Diamond Trail, and Domine Trail. Meet at the Fishers Fire Station. Parking is behind the Station on Main Street (1 mile west from Rt. 96 intersection at Denny’s/ Chili’s).
Crescent Trail Association in partnership with Recreation and Parks requests your help for Trail Volunteers. Volunteers are needed for trail blazing, bridge repairs, trail maintenance, clearing brush, website support and membership communication. These are all a part of this volunteer organization. CTA members care for over 38 miles of trails in Perinton. All hikers, dog walkers and joggers enjoying Crescent Trails are invited to join us.
