Cyanotype Patches: One Day Workshop with Kylie Newcomer (@rodeo_clown2.0) on Friday, Oct. 20 from 6:30 - 9pm.
In this one-day workshop, students will learn how to use the cyanotype process to print designs of their choosing onto fabric patches: unique additions to your favorite jacket, pair of jeans, etc!
Also known as sun prints or blueprints, cyanotypes produce a beautiful, rich blue monochromatic print. Students will be taught how to make digital negatives of their chosen designs, properly prepare and apply cyanotype chemistry to fabric, and expose coated fabric.
Designs will be printed no larger than 5” x 5”. Please come to class with several digital files of designs to choose from. These can be your own designs, a movie poster, your favorite band’s logo, etc. Everything else will be provided. $10 materials fee included.
